These delicious treats are perfect for after dinner to capitalise on the casein protein which when taken approximately 30 minutes before sleep and after a bout of resistance exercise in the evening, can be an effective nutritional intervention to facilitate muscle recovery.
After Dinner Protein Balls

1 cup cashew nuts
1/4 cup dates
2 scoops casein protein powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
1/8 – 1/4 cup water
Directions
- Place cashews and dates in food processor and blend until smooth.
- Add in the protein powder, cinnamon, nut butter and chocolate chips and mix until combined.
- Slowly add small amounts of water (while it is blending) until the mixture has rolled into one large ball.
- Use your hands to roll mixture into 10 evenly sized balls.
- Keep stored in the fridge for up to 10 days. Enjoy x
