Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl

This fresh, icy cold pineapple and banana smoothie bowl will satisfy those sweet cocktail cravings you get on a hot summer’s day! Pineapples are in season at the moment and are very cheap! They are full of Vit C, Manganese, fibre, antioxidants and high in anti-inflammatory properties. They’re a great addition to salads, stir-fry’s, smoothies and homemade burgers. Try this refreshing smoothie bowl as a breakfast or lunch option! Enjoy this on a hot sunny day! x

Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk

  • 1 handful of ice

  • 1/2 cup coconut water

  • 2 Tbsp coconut cream

  • 1 scoop plant protein powder (optional)

  • 1 tsp chia/ flaxseeds

Directions

  • Blend all ingredients together until it is a thick, icy consistency. Pour into a bowl and decorate with shredded coconut, sliced banana & pineapple, nuts and seeds.
