Devilled Sausages

This recipe is much nicer then the packaged devilled sausages and WAY more nutrient dense! 

Devilled Sausages

Ingredients

  • 6-8 beef sausages 

  • 1 onion, sliced 

  • 1 apple, cut into cubes 

  • 3 garlic cloves, diced 

  • 1 Tbsp coriander 

  • 1 tsp allspice 

  • 1 can tomatoes 

  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste 

  • 1 Tbsp Worcester sauce 

  • Salt/ pepper for seasoning 

  • 1 cup beef stock

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 160 degrees Celsius on fan bake.
  • Saute the onions, garlic and brown the sausages in some olive oil in a cast iron or dutch oven casserole dish. 
  • Add the remaining ingredients, mix to combine then place in oven for 2-2.5 hours. Pull out of oven and let rest for 20 minutes then serve with some Kumara mash and vegetables.
