Apple & Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup quinoa (uncooked)

  • 1 apple, grated

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped

  • 1 tsp cacao powder

  • 2.25 cups filtered water

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

Directions

  • In a small pot, add the quinoa, apple, water, maple syrup and cinnamon. Bring to the boil over a medium heat.
  • Once boiled, reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes until the quinoa is cooked
  • Remove from the heat and stir through the walnuts.
  • Serve with berries or coconut yoghurt, if desired.
