Apple & Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

3/4 cup quinoa (uncooked)
1 apple, grated
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
1 tsp cacao powder
2.25 cups filtered water
1 Tbsp maple syrup
Directions
- In a small pot, add the quinoa, apple, water, maple syrup and cinnamon. Bring to the boil over a medium heat.
- Once boiled, reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes until the quinoa is cooked
- Remove from the heat and stir through the walnuts.
- Serve with berries or coconut yoghurt, if desired.
